Malaysia Digital Arrival Card (MDAC): Everything You Need to Know
Comprehensive guide to the mandatory Malaysia Digital Arrival Card. How to fill it, when to submit, and common questions answered.

The Malaysia Digital Arrival Card (MDAC) is a mandatory online declaration form that all foreign travelers must complete before entering Malaysia. It replaces the traditional paper arrival/departure card and is part of Malaysia's digital immigration system.
ALL foreign nationals entering Malaysia must complete MDAC, regardless of their visa type or nationality. This includes tourists, business travelers, students, and work pass holders. Malaysian citizens and permanent residents are exempt.
You can submit MDAC anytime within 3 days before your arrival in Malaysia. We recommend completing it at least 24 hours before your departure to avoid last-minute issues or connectivity problems at the airport.

Incomplete or incorrect flight number or arrival date
Address Issues
Incomplete accommodation address
Timing Error
Submitting too early (more than 3 days before arrival)
Missing Confirmation
Not saving the confirmation reference number
If you notice an error after submission, you can fill out a new MDAC form with correct information. The system will accept the most recent submission. However, try to get it right the first time to avoid confusion.
MDAC is NOT a visa. It's a mandatory arrival declaration form. You still need a valid visa (if required for your nationality) to enter Malaysia. MDAC is in addition to your visa, not a replacement for it.
If you face technical issues while filling MDAC, contact the Malaysian Immigration Department directly or seek assistance from your airline. Make sure to complete it before boarding your flight to Malaysia.
